ok when I first started looking into discus my husband and i agreed on a 55 gal... well today we were out and about and stopped at a pet shop and HE noticed a 180 gal dark cherry wood stand and canopy and he says to me well since we r moving this weekend into a bigger place maybe we should get that one and then he started talking about where we can put it...LOL....and when we got home he even asked to look at pics of Discus`s so I pulled up Kennys fish and he was impressed....So im pretty sure im getting a bigger tank...:fish::heart2::fish:

Congrats! If you don't overstock it this will be easier to maintain in the long run. Be sure you have a "hospital" tank for new arrivals or sick fish....

Definitely get the 180. It is a lovely tank with great depth and height. My hubby got me a 230 for b-day, anniversary and everything else. The fish look magnificent in it.

No doubt, harder to get 20 gallonidis when you start at 180. :)

once he tallies up the total investment he's probably gonna want some season tickets to either Purple n gold, green n gold, twinkies, Wilds .... IDK you are close enough for all of it! lol... Cant wait to see the set up :)
