Any suggestions on feeding my 4 new 2-3" discus? I work 24 hours shifts and my wife works 12-14 hours a day so on the days we are at work together it will not be possible for me to feed them for most of the day and I have read they need to fed 4-6 times a day. They can be fed in the morning before I leave but it will be up to 10-12 hours before anyone will be home to give them another feeding.

And this will only be one day a week, 2 at most.

Hello rebus20,

I would suggest an automatic feeder. You can load it will Pro-Grow B/H Flake so juvies get something throughout the day.

use a auto if you can. when home make a point to feed constantly. i have my lights come on at 12 noon and off at 11 pm. so from 12 till i get home around 4-5 they are not fed. i just feed alot from the time i get home till the lights go out at 11 p.m. maybe you can set a timer so the day time for feeding is adjusted a bit to help you. good luck. walt.

I didnt think about an automatic feeder. The only problem is all I have gotten them to eat the past day is frozen blood worms. I will start introducing some flake beef heart and see how they react to that.
