I bought 2 goldens and 5 leopards from a great local breeder here on Long Island 2 weeks ago. I liked the goldens so much that i went back and pickup 2 more today. By far, these are the best looking discus i have bought to date. They are all young and 3" in size. The goldens have zero peppering. Not one black dot. They eat everything i feed them! I mean everything! But their favorite food is Al's FDBWs. They are all in a 55 gallon tank. When i put the 2 new goldens in this evening, within 5 minutes, 1 of the goldens i bought 2 weeks ago immediately cornered 1 of the new golden. They pecked at each other and then all of a sudden, they just tilted their heads up and kind of stood still gliding in unison in the water. They swam side by side for a while shaking at each other and then decided to clean the intake tube of my HOB filter and the sponge filter. They shook their heads often and both of them took turns humping or hugging the intake tube going up. It was like true love at first site. Well, they were all in the same tank at the breeder 2 weeks ago. I guess they rekindle their love. Sorta. Here is a crappy video taken with my phone of today.

Now, the other 7 discus are being chased from time to time by the golden pair. It looks like the pair is staking claim to the right side of the tank, the sponge filter and the filter intake tube. The question is should i give these 2 love birds their own tank now? They are way young and still need to eat and grow. I bought a 40 gallon breeder tank from Petco last week during their sale. I didn't get the chance to paint it yet. Would it harm them to isolate them so young? I guess i need get some cones too.

Sorry about the black thing hanging from the belly. He was going while i took the picture. I think he is a leopard snakeskin. Not too sure.
