I got these 2 as a probable male and female from Kenny almost 2 years ago. They might be a pair-they certainly look like it-but don't act like it. My guess is that they are both males. No shipping but I would be willing to drive 150 miles or so from Charlotte NC to deliver. $300 for both.

Initially my thoughts were that they were both females too. At the beginning of this year, I placed them individually with one of 2 proven males of another variety that I had on hand----nothing but aggression after many months together. I switched "pairs" with the same results. A few weeks ago spawning tubes came down on both fish after a large water change. No eggs were laid by either fish though trial runs were made up the cone by each fish. After that, Larry in Florida sent me detailed pictures of the spawning tubes from his ARSG male and female (both of which I now own too) and the pictures of his male's ARSG tube was exactly like that of the 2 I have-smaller and more pointed than I would expect on a female. So, for the time being, based on my observation of spawning tubes, I am going with "males" ---but I am not convinced I am correct! I just wish somebody would take these great looking fish off my hands and successfully spawn them!!!!
