Okay, so i've set some goals with my aquarium. I'd like to share what I have so far and what my future plans are. I'd love some advice and input on making this successful.

Here is what i've got -
1. 75g aquarium
2. (2) 60g power filters - no carbon
3. airstone
4. (2) 48" 5.5k florecent lights
5. (2) large pieces of driftwood

Here is what I want to add -
1. pool filter sand for plants (how deep of a bed?)
2. Live plants
3. 6-8 DIFFERENT colored discus (where do I find a supplier of this many color variations at once?)

Please hit me with questions and comments, as well as answers :)
I'm hoping i'll get some good advice from you guys...thanks ahead of time!

PFS for plants - just don't make it any deeper than you need to, at the mid to rear, in order to root your plants properly. Use root tab ferts as well as other liquid or dry ferts.
I would suggest as little as 1/2" or less in front, to no more than about 2.5" to 3" max at the back of the tank.
Do a frequent proper vac job with your wcs.

Haven't seen your other thread, but I expect others will have responded, regarding SD sponsors as the source to get your stock - Hans Discus is near your location, for one.
Welcome to discus-keeping and best of luck !
