I've been breeding the Aspidoras Albaters for about two years now. They are a close cousin of the Corys. I breed them out of two different tanks, a 29 gal and 30 gal. Up to date I'm pretty sure I have sold more than one hundred of them. Some on AB. I always keep a good amount of them on hand, I have over one hundred of them right now. They don't get very big, the females get about 1 1/2 " while the males usually stay under an inch. The reason for two different tanks is to avoid inbreeding. Especially when I sell them, I send the buyer an equal amount from each tank. This way if they decide to breed them they won't run into genetic problems.

Next week I'm getting some Aspidoras Spilotus, a different variety of Aspidoras. I will try to breed those also. However, I've been told that the Spilotus are harder to breed than the Albaters. We'll see, I'm very patient for these things.

I will post pics of both soon.
