I was a Marine, 1973 to 1979.

that was amazing. i am a retired sailor (hence the name). very often i receive "thank you"s but they are just words. this goes above and beyond the standard "remember the military" that occurs at most events. it really gave me chills to watch. like a lot of former or retired service members, i don't look upon what i did as much of a big thing. but this really make me feel proud, if only for a moment. thank you so much, more than you could know, for posting this.

Ian, gave me chills to watch and have watched it several times. It is unbelievable the practice the band has to do to make it look so sweet. My daughter was in marching band in high school and it is amazing the time involved.

No, I joined. Believe it or not, as a kid I always wanted to be in the Military. When I told my friends that I was thinking of joining, they all said, "Don't go to the Marines, they are the worst." That's all I needed to hear.

Chris, my neighbor's daughter just finished Marine boot camp and she loves it. She was here for 10 days and off for 28 days for arms training. Maybe she will be around for x-mas.

Haha Chris same for me, there was no other choice for me then the Marines. It's the only recruiter I talked to or needed to talk to.
