Would one 300 watt jager be good enough to heat a 150 gallon tank?

I'd put two in just in case one fails..................Jim in Ohio

2 of a lower wattage. that way it wont overheat if the heater breaks and stays one

maybe 2 300 heater one on each ends?

I've ran one (the same one) 250 watt Jager in my 150gal. for years @ 84F. Yes, one 300 watt Jager will be fine.

I run 2x250w Jagers. Temp stays solid at 84 during the winter when my basement hits 63-65.

3-5 watts per gallon, depending on ambient room temperature, is a general guideline. Alot of people, myself included, subscribe to the two heater philosophy in case of a malfunction. If a lower wattage heater sticks "on", it will not cook your fish while the other will stay off. If it faild to heat, the other will keep the temp at a reasonable temp. until another can be added.

Id go for 2 300w to keep tje water at 86. I space heat to 80 for my other fish then use heaters to get the temp a little higher.
