aquaclear filter question

Didn't know where else to post this obviously newbie question.

Can the pump be removed with the power off but the filter box full of water?

LOL I know I could try it with a bucket underneath but thought I'd just ask the experts first.

I have two AC and as far is I can tell the pump seems firmly attached to the housing. The unit is light enough to easily remove from the tank and rinse at the sink. I am careful to not get the pump wet.

yes it can by twisting it, but you will get some water too.

If the filter box is full of water, you'll get lots of water coming out by removing the pump - probably almost all of it.

Remove the filter and dump first, or syphon water from the filter and hold a cup under the motor while you twist it off.
