Hi i am Tom from pevensey in sussex uk. I have recently returned to discus keeping after a 12 year absence keeping malagasy cichlids.
So far i have 5 mixed domestic strain discus and just last week i got a pair of lovely little pair of f3 blues from rio purus.
Water in my area comes from reservoirs and sink holes. Ph6.2 hardness 6dh amonnia nitrite nil and nitrate less than 5ppm. So with daily 30o/o water changes they are thriving. Food is prima tetramin flakes washed brine shrimp and shredded mussell and they are growing very quicly. Tankmates are a pair of rams cories and cardinals. Would post photos but not enough posts yet...

Welcome back to discus. Just more proof once you start with discus you're never really going to be able stop.

Hi Pat!- as spon they hsve settles i'll try and fet some pics up. Annoingly one has stopped eating as of this am  so am a bit worried. Ive upped the temp and added some metro. Water params are still as above so i dont know. He was eating like a pig last night. Colour is still perfect. No spots clamping dashing around excess mucus etc so i really dont know. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Tom, give him a day or so. If he remains the same a thread in the disease section may help.
