Are some breeds of discus more hardy and better for beginers than others? Conversly, are some really not a good idea for newbies? I am planning on buying adults from either kenny, discus hans or wattley as per everyones recommendations so that I can have the best quality possible but since I am new I want the discus to do well.

Thanks, I just joined the forum recently so I have not had a chance to explore everything here yet but, I am wanting to know more about which strains are best for begginers and not all of the ones available :)

When pigeonbloods first made the scene, they were said to be hardier and more dominant that other strains. I would stay away form some like the Angel diamonds and such.
