Whats the best way to clean an acrylic tank? I bought a 230 yesterday, but wasnt sure about using bleach on it. Is there something else that I should use instead of bleach? I did a search for this, but didnt get much info on it.
Thanks,
MikeF

I would not suggest using bleach, I've seen pics of tanks on reef central that developed real small stress fractures or just some sort of spider cracks.

The best way I've found to clean an acrylic tank is to soak them with warm water and dish soap.

This is the biggest downfall of an acrylic tank. Once they have hard water stains or anything that needs to be scrubbed off, your screwed.

No matter what you do, there will be scratches. It sucks.

Just make sure there's no sand or anything that will scratch it, when your cleaning it.

Good luck.

I am looking to disinfect or sterilize it. Just bought it used and had no idea of how or what I need to do to make it discus safe. There are no hard water stains, and only a few scratches that can be buffed out. Just didnt want to do anything to damage this tank.

Just wash it out with soap and hot water.
