I thought I'd post a short clip of my fish......they're not show-stopper Discus, not by any means. but hey, for my "starter Discus", I love them - and they have the greatest personalities :D

They'll never be shy either with those Angels in with them, they really are the best fish for getting shy Discus out and about and eating!

actually, the Angels are more shy than the Discus! and they were the 'primary tank residents' prior to the Discus. they all get along, but the Discus definitely rule the tank :).

It still comes as a surprise to many new Discus hobbyists to learn that Discus are actually quite easy to keep.
I have coached a lot of friends into trying Discus and what I tell them is that if the just treat their Discus as if they were a very large Apistogramma species that all will work out fine.

thanks for all the kind words :)

Looks like they may have grown a little Trish.I think they have!!!
Al's fdbw creates a *feeding frenzy*, as well as BH. ON prime reef & spirulina flakes are eaten more casually.

It still comes as a surprise to many new Discus hobbyists to learn that Discus are actually quite easy to keep.yes, agree 100%
in fact, 'Discus keeping' has made me a far better aquariast (is that a word?) overall. prior to them, I only did sporadic WCs, and fed much less. my AF have grown a LOT since I added the Discus. 'makes me happy!

and with my NEXT larger aquarium (much to my SO's dismay LOL), I'm gonna do it right, with better quality Discus :D.
