Yep I have it. It is an old book now, I'd spend £7 on it, if only for some of the nice pics in there. tbh there are better "knowledge" books out there now, it was good in its day though.

Cheers for that, i thought it would be worth the 7 quid as well, i probably would about get my money back if i re-sold it again afterwards if i wasnt that impressed with it.

I have it also. Agree with what Paul said. I generally buy any discus book that I can find that is under $10 us. I have quite the collection currently.

I have it as well. I have many discus books. I like to know what the oldtimers did back then as well as what's new. I just bought an old book and very old mags with discus articles on AB last week. Looking forward to their arrival.

John,

I never heard of the book nor the author before (that I recall, anyway). "Discus Fish - The King of all Aquarium Fish" by Eberhard Schulze. It may be good or not. lol

5 Aquatic Life, 4 Aquarium Journal and 3 The Aquarium magazines. I do not know month or years of mags. I just ask the guy I bought the book from if any of his mags had any discus articles in them. He emailed me back these 12. They could be from the '40's through 60-70's. I am guessing most are pre 60's.

Yes, Paul, it was published in 1988. I am thinking it has European influence behind it which interests me.

John,

The mags came today. I don't have time right now to do more than a quick glance, but they range through 1951-69. A couple articles by Drs., one breeding Peruvian Greens when few were breeding discus, one by Wattley on one of his trips to the Rio Negro. All in all, looks like a good pick-up.
