My good pair laid eggs -- what does everyone feed at this stage?

My good pb laid eggs. What does everyone feed the mother and father during the 60 hour incubation period?

some people stop feeding but I just keep doing the same thing I always do and try not to change my routine.......Josie

Nothing special... Just let them do their thing. Maybe take greater care in not overfeeding or letting any uneaten food sit in the tank too long. Keep the water clean, and keep things wiped down. Nasties can grow and feed off of gunk in the nooks and crannys where slime accumulates in an aquarium. Bacteria are very dangerous to newly hatched or very young fry.

Has this pair raised fry before? Excited for you!!!

Sometimes the pair doesn't want to eat. Ususally they do. If they're not interested in food give them little or none. If they want to eat, feed them as you normally do. Watch the fish. They will tell you.

This is their third or fourth. First with ro in own 29. We'll see.


I also have my other pair with eggs as well. Two pairs and waiting.
