Manzenita Drift wood

Hey everyone, I have a piece of Mazenita driftwood in my tak for about a month and a half now, It still seems to be staining the water. Is this normal after such a long time? PWC are done every other day about 40 percent. the wood was taken out today to see if the water clears up.

from what I understand, the tannins (staining) are normal & to be expected. in fact I've also read that Discus like the tannins from driftwood, as it is similar to their natural habitat. just give it time......I added a big hunk of driftwood and it took about six weeks for it to stop leaching so much color into the water.
