This was an experiment to see if the blue "pepper" of the mercury female (pb) would tranfer as blue when crossed with a non-pigeon blood.

I am going to wait to see how they develope but I am sure I will try something. The real "plan" seeing how this experiment was a success, is to cross the mercury with the albino san marah x snow white f1's when they mature.

What I am shooting for is to retain the red coloration that exist mainly below the lateral line on the pictured fish and by crossing it with a mercury or the mercury/ARSG cross, hopefully superimposing the blue "pepper" onto the fish above the lateral line. Kind of like a poor mans tri-color dicus.

Not quite sure how to answer that.......not really a pattern per say, more like a white based fish with blue pepper.

in the early pics ur fish had a pattern i was thinking the cross would have made the pattern stay instead of fading away to a solid.i wasnt sure if a merc was a strain but i guess just a variety of a white pb

Ahh, Now I understand. The pattern came from the ARSG, some had more pattern than others, and it's not so much the pattern faded away as it is it got covered up in the picture of the cross I posted.
