baby announcement!
Having followed this forum for awhile and occasionally getting up the nerve to post a tidbit, I finally took the hook. With April's help (big time) and Shelley's generosity, I bought Shelley's breeding pair of Cuiperas. I have had them here for a couple of weeks now. They are settled and contentedly swimming around together. They are proven to be phenomenal parents! They laid eggs at Shelley's, she packed them up and took them to April's, threw the cone (with the eggs) into a new tank, threw Mom and Dad in, after about 10 minutes, they were fanning and guarding the eggs again. A couple of days later they hatched out and Mom and Dad nursed them along to free swimming fry. Pretty cool. The fish originally came from Forrest. Their colour and shape to my under-trained eye is phenomenal! True beauties! (although who doesn't say this of our first born). Pictures to follow (when i figure it out).
