Scratched glass

Ok so saturday im suppose to look at a tank, they believe it is a 150 or 175. I have not seen it yet but had a question worse cause senario the glass is scratched, is there anything i can do to remove scratches? It was an old saltwater tank at a bowling alley, they said it is dirty inside and still has rocks in it but im hoping its not scratched.

The most true or accurate answer to glass scratches is that they cannot be removed. Even though there are polishing systems available the amount of work required and the results are usually less than satisfactory. Most scratches disappear however when the tanks are filled with water, so if there is a way to do that before purchase you can then make a fair evaluation of the tanks condition and value.
