My new discus fish in their grow out tank after about three weeks. This video was shot late at night just after a 95% water change. They love mals Blackworms so much they spend a lot of time swimming around the tank hunting down every last worm, it's good fun to watch.

Let me know what you think. Happy also to answer any questions about the tank or fish.

Yeah just the two, I couldn't afford more, well I could have got three but I figured two is better than three because with three you could have two fish against one all the time.

Thank you!

How old? That's a good question I don't know exactly... I've had them
three weeks and I'm sure they have grown a little bit in that time. I think I'll ring the place I got them from and find out.

They love that food the best judging by their reactions to it when it hits the water

I'm hesitant to feed them to much on case they get fussy so I make sure I feed the some flake and pellet as well before they can have a treat.

The big one gave me a scare this morning, when I checked them this morning he was lying on his side on the bottom of the tank. I had to go out and was late so I couldn't do anything about it.

I came home and everything was fine! They were waiting in front of the tank for me to feed them!

A little milestone today as well they have started taking food from the top of the water, flake and worms they will grab, still a little bit cautious but a good step!

If they can I'd like to know the trick.

Another video update. This was taken last night during a water change. I had a bright light on that I don't usually use and they were a little timid.

2 stunning fish!!! looks like they get along ok? when I had just 2 together I noticed some aggression issues (1 dominant bullying the 2nd - a LOT). do you plan on adding more?

I haven't noticed to much aggression, the bigger one will head butt the other one out of the way If they are both going for the same piece of food. I have also seen the bigger one give the other a few pecks on the side but nothing to aggressive.

Apart from that they hang out a lot and seem to get along just fine, that's why I have been wondering if they are a male/female pair?

I would like more but it's a money thing at the moment, the other thing is that my wife is not to happy with my aquarium obsession at the moment, not a good time to push it.

Although I saw some carnation turqs for the first time on here the other day, what a gorgeous fish! Anyone in Australia sell these?

My big BD has gone on a hunger strike. I have filled out a disease questionnaire so if you can help please please read my other thread in the disease section. Thank you!
