The top portion of my manzanita that is above the water line has developed mold! What should I do???So far I've just wiped it off.......but it grows back. Is it dangerous to my fish?

Trish, if it is a whitest looking mold it is harmless but ugly.

Can you take it out of the tank give it a good bath in say PP or bleach/water mix for a couple days?

Is it at the water line? some sort of algae?it is not in the water at all. doesn't look like algae, looks like mold LOL.

Can you take it out of the tank give it a good bath in say PP or bleach/water mix for a couple days?Jeff honestly I'm terrified of using bleach or PP. the 'terror' of new Discus ownership.....having lost a couple of Discus prior to getting this group I'm extremely paranoid  :).

Take it out and pressure wash it. I do all my wood every several months. Looks like new.

I let Pleco clean it for me.
In this case, may be just turn upside down for few weeks.

I like the idea of pressure washing - perhaps I'll do that this weekend. I hate the thought of wrangling the wood out (& traumatizing the Discus!). it's a TIGHT squeeze.
meantime I'll try and get a pic of it.......but I just cleaned it yesterday so there's not so much to see LOL.
no plecos in my tank, nor will there be (I had a pleco sucking on Discus problem in my other tank!).
