Does it matter on the brand of peat to use to tint the water? Are these ok fafard majesic earth, sphagnum peat. :D

Neon, do not use it if it has fertilizer in it.

My advice is to skip it. Pretty old school, and there's better ways to get there..Peat is messy, no matter how you approach it. And that would be Canadian Sphagnum , no other....I advise Blackwater Expert.....consistent..

You can use catalpa leaves it works pretty good for me........I used Peet for a while it's very messy and you always chase the water parameters

placement of an 'l' can change things up. As in Rat snake, Rat'l snake..And besides, catalpa is a family of vines...
