no health issues with discus, might take a while to adjust. you might have algae issues tho. how many watts? and what size tank

you should be okay. your at 1.6 watts per gallon. algae issues shouldn't be to much of a problem. and your discus should be perfectly fine.

even if they were HO he's running low light in his aquarium. now if he's running them for over 9 hours a day then algae would become a serious problem. I'd run them no more than 6 hours a day op.

If NO then fairly low but if HO then borderline high. My fish don't like HO light without plants to get relief.

You might not like the Actinic blue, I know I really don't care for it. I have a Wavepoint T5 retro kit that has two 12K white lights and two Actinic blue lights. I'm going to change all four to 6K whites. Take a look at my pics in the pictures section to see what it will look like.

Discus prefer to hide in the shadows of roots etc. If you make your tank to bright they will hide. If they can't they may become stressed. They will prob. be light colored (washed out) as well if you go too bright.

well i ran the 4 lights at once. even though it was good looking and the fish didnt seem bothered (up at the top begging for food when i was across the room) it did get HOT under the canopy so right not i have 1-10k and 1-6,5k looks deent and its alot warmer under the hood.

I have a 12 bulb T5 HO light from aquatic life. I run it for about 12 hours a day with CO2 injection. My tank is heavily planted and the discus do see to like hiding under the driftwood and big leaves of some of the swords.

I run 6 65k and 6 of the pink colored color max lights. I found the blue lights promote algae growth more than anything, so I did away with the blue bulbs all together. I believe these lights are mainly for reef tanks, but I could be wrong...

Althought my tank is deep (30") I do belie my lights to be slightly over kill, but the plants love it and the discus have cover when they feel like being shaded. They do come out to hang out in the bright tank as well.

in short, I think your lighting is just fine. I have had success with my lighting. In fact some of my plants are growing too fast.
