Well, they are not rare by any stretch of the imagination no matter what the ad says. If they are a real pair and not two females, a 20gal set-up and a mated pair for 4250 isn't a bad deal.

*blinks* Mat is that really you? tell it like it is. no wigglers no pair. Look like wild browns to me and not rare at all. If it were a healthy breeding pair and fairly young(9 to 15 months) then it may worth purchasing for the experience of breeding discus. selling a breeding pair that is not proven is a red flag to me. just sayin.... I answered hypothetically. "If" it were a pair. If they are, then $250 is a deal with the tank set-up. I would not buy them, personally, unless I saw fry, furthermore, again personally, I wouldn't buy them even if I saw fry. I agree, as is, there is a waving red flag, esp. since the guy appears not to know much about "rare" discus.
