Relatively new to the hobby. Ive had discus for just about a year and a half. Recently I have had two pairs start to mate. One pair is in their own tank doin their thing, the other pair is in the community tank. How do I get them to stop attempting to breed? because at the other side of the tank (90gallons, 8 discus) all of the rest are constantly "bickering". I think I may have another pair claiming that side of the tank leaving nowhere for everybody else to go...Does this make sense? How do I get them to just be happy with each other?
Thanks - Mike

They were all fine until their hormones kicked in, up until the first pair was old enough to breed (and I took them out) they all got along just fine. I cant seperate all the pairs, I dont have enough space in my house for that, lol. (plus wife wont let me, lol, I asked to get another tank, whew not a plesent NO, lol)
So then I guess because they are all "mature" is why....hmmm.

Yup! Bickering is nothing...ime true aggression leads to wounds/ death.

just like stated..if it gets to where there is injury..you could always separate the sexes.

Ok, so wait till there's serious injuries, if that happens then separate...thanks folks!
