I found that the forum doesn't have a section to store the valueble thread posted. At least I didn't find it in a first glance Let's say everytime a member post a real helpful or good information regarding keeping discus, the moderator can move or mark it to a section that store them, let's say a library. I know there is a library right now, but what I am talking about is a library for each section.
Then when somebody has a question, he can go to library first to check whether this has been answered before. This way , you don't need to answer it again and again, and again until you are mad about it.
In the forums I checked everyday, not about discus, we have this kind of section or library in every forum section. It's a good source for newbie. I mean for that kind of newbie who wants to learn. For new person who even doesn't like to read and listen, I think, discus is not for them. They will disappear someday by themselves for whatever reasons. So, save your effort.

Hi,
If you look at each section, you'll see that a bunch of threads are stuck at the top of the page. These are the threads you are referring to . We add to these "stickied" threads as important and informative ones come up...or if someone recommends them...We also sometimes build an archive...For instance see this..

http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showthread.php?70066-Using-Potassium-Permanganate-aka-PP

in it I have listed a bunch of related topics.

ll,
Many here know that PP is a chemical to be used with great care, but others may not. I've been asked to suggest that anyone thinking of using PP really take the time to learn about its recommended uses and doses...seeing on how you can literally kill your fish or melt your plants I think its a wise suggestion.. So some reference material for you of the abundant material and advice out there..

From this and the rest reply, I can see the way you guys are doing. I checked them regularly, if not all. Still there's some difficulty for newbie. Probably should not ask too much. Just my cent.
If you use search function, from google or forum, you don't know the thread comes out is valueble or useless, because it's not evaluated by experienced person, let's say moderator or sr. member here. How to let a newbie to distinguish which one they should listen?
By the way, I am trying to help with the issue that totally newbie bothering experienced person all the time with same question. No offend to anything.
Oh,also, every section needs couple of person take charge. They lead everything and value it. If all are global managers, that means no manager to me.

How to let a newbie to distinguish which one they should listen? Sorry, If its a thread that is stuck, it has merit or it would not be there. As for evaluated threads by mods or sr members? Thats a recipe for disaster.

For the Forum to evaluate and endorse a particular thread or the advice and info in it, thats not our purpose here and puts liability on me that I don't want.... The way it works here is members need to research topics thoroughly and draw their own conclusions after that research and after discussions....Often times theres more than one way to do a thing...and not all things work well to meet all goals.

Sorry,
Al
