DISEASE QUESTIONNAIRE


Problem

1. Please explain the problems with your fish/when and how they started
Fish has been doing really well, today I noticed he was pretty dark.

2. Symptoms (i.e. turning dark, excess slime, not eating, clamped fins, flashing, darting, clamped gills, white/yellow/green poop, hiding, headstanding or tailstanding, white on tips of fins, rotting or fungus, blisters/ white zits on fish, bloated, cloudy eyes, wounds)
Fish is darkening, and has white growth. possibly a little lethargic


3. What medications/ treatments that you have already tried and results. Include dosages and duration of treatment.
Have started raising temperature to 84F to 90F No medications yet


Tank/Water

4. Tank size and age, number and size of fish

55 gallon show tank 5 discus some neons, bn pleco.

5. Water change regime/ how long has tank been running/ bare bottom or gravel/ do you age your water?

75% change once a week

6 Parameters and water source;

- temp ____84_

- ph ___7.2__

- ammonia reading _0___

- nitrite reading __0__

- nitrate reading __trace__

- well water _NO___

- municipal water _YES___

7. Any new fish/plants added recently
Added some frogbit from another of my aquariums.

He does not look that bad to me I would lower the Temp. back down to normal and start doing more water changes then 75% a week. Do smaller water changes several times a week. his tail looks from this angle like someone might be beating him up.

I see tattered or rotted fins, up the water changes

Sorry I should have specified that, his tail and fins are still tattered from shipping. They've improved quite a bit actually.

Is the white cotton looking growth that looks like it's on it's pectorial fin on the fin or the side? Any pics from the side?

water change DAILY.. 50%..

come back update in a week..

make its NOT water quality.. since you are not changing ENOUGH when they are ILL/ACTING funny..
