Hello im new to discus. Well kinda. ive had them before but a heater failed and lost all of them the first time. I will be getting discus from hans and was wonder what the difference between marlboro red and pigeon blood is?

And just for the record, a Marlboro is a type of Pigeon Blood. To answer your question, pattern/color is the difference in this case.

Marlboro is a lighter red, at least in the ones I've seen. Very nice fish. Let me know if you want some Hans Marlboro ;) welcome to Simply!

I love the fire reds but I have a male marlboro red thats outstanding

It really seems to depend on the breeder and the individual fish. Some Fire Reds are better, some Marlboro look better IMO. It's all to the eye of the beholder.

Thanks. well im excited to be getting discus. i have wanted them for a long time. basically every since i found out about them. my only problem is i can never decide which color variation i want. since there is so many to choose from and i enjoy all the color that are offered.
