This one has been dubbed Napoleon by my family. (Since Discus are "King of the Aquarium", they decided all the Discus should be named after Kings and Queens. When I pointed out that Napoleon was an Emperor, not a King, I was informed he was ALSO the King of Italy at one point. I never win these debates haha!)

I am looking for a critique of the fish, an assessment of its quality. (All of these fish are in the 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 inch range)

This is Arthur... looking for assessment / critique. Sorry I couldn't get a better shot, he likes to hide.

On all of these, don't be afraid to point out quality issues in the fish, I am not going to freak out if you don't LOVE my fish lol.

I am being told that these are all behind on growth. Is this true and can i do anything about it? (Will daily 60% wc + constant feeding 'fix' them?)

This are all very poor quality. Stunted and poor shape. At this point I think you are past the point of no return.

I hate to say it,but these are in the what not to buy catagory.Depends on how old they are,but food and wc's will just make them less cr@appy.I would sell all four and buy one good one.Or not to be a total a-hole,feed them,wc them, and enjoy them.If nobody else knows they're not up to snuff,If a tree falls in the forest.

eeeyyoww! Not really a group I would be proud of. But to each their own =) I would raise them so you get the hang of taking care of discus. Good luck

Evaluations are really suppose to go in the University, but those fish are not really old enough for that yet. What you have is normal pet store quality fish. Nothing wrong with that but the chances of them growing up to be first rate discus is pretty slim. Are they stunted because they are just bad fish or because of the conditions that they were exposed to before you got them...can't tell you. You can still grow them out and enjoy them but keep in mind you probably will not be able to make them high quality discus. The best you can do is get/keep them healthy, raise them the best you can, and enjoy them.

Thanks!

I think I will grow these out and then having done it once, get something better.
