Need some opinon on the qualtiy of these discus?

its hard to tell from the pics..

but based from what is available.. i like the 1st one.. the peppering in the pb.. not so much..

The peppering could probably be lessend by changing the substrate to pfs. As for shape I have a wb that was pointed as a juvie and has rounded up considerably as it has grown.

They really look great, I hope mind do the same. I bought 10 of them and where I bought them from I really thought I would get good quality but I was very disappointed in what I got most all of the wb that I got already was peppered, they are starting to look better. Actually I have bb about 90% of my tank on the corners is where I have some gravel and it's light gravel, I have dw on each corner going into the center where there is no subtrate which really (I think ) looks awesome.

I had a hard time getting them to stay still they all wanted their picture taken so they would line up straight in front of the tank, I couldn't get very many side shots. I'll try to get some better later today, my son just bought a camera and taken up photogphy so I give him something to practice on.

I just have a couple that look good w/o the peppering, I don't like the peppering so before I got them I took out the substrate and also it stays a lot cleaner too with the constant water changes.

Also Skip I'm sorry that I spouted out at you last week, I was having a state audit and closing my business so I guess I was stressed out, but thanks for being kind

Its night time with one acintic light it stays on until 11pm and then it goes off its dark except for the light that alluminates from the bottom of my tank so that a plaque of boats will be highlighted. also where I got pb I would not have expected to get this type of quality from him in my opinon thats why I'm asking what you all think.

I just hope they grow out to a nice shape and look. I'm doing everything what I learned on here. so we will see. I have wanted wb for about a year now and now that I'm not working in my business I will have more time to devote to them.

if ya get a photobucket account resize to 480/640 i think and copy and paste the img code in the reply box.good thing about ur fish is quality cant be officially judged until their older and fully grown.i consider mine low end too it will never be a 7 incher and with the lumpy forehead but i like.

they do look alot better here whats the age and size.quality is gonna be determined on how well u grow these out.lite color bottom and back ground will help with the pepper.i dont know if its true for judging but for me less pepper = better quality

I feel that way too less pepper. I know the backgound looks dark, I'm taking the pictures from my Iphone, so not great picture of tank. I have 90% of the tank is bb and each corner has light brown gravel. The background is actually a light grey. The lighting is acintic blue and 6000 flora. So maybe I need to put a brighter light in there?

They are 4 inches and I'm doing water changes everyday. I,m feeding a varity of food at least 4 times a day, I just started them on beefhearts this week and they are going crazy for them. so hopefully they will beef up some and start loosing the spots. They all seem happy and love to eat. LOL

Thanks for the advise. I have been changing w/c everyday and feeding beef hearts, flakes , bloodworm and another serving of bh in the evening I have been feeding about 4 times a day
