View Full Version : Spring SWDA Meeting

Hello friends! It looks like we've just been unlucky on trying to get people together lately. I know I'd like to see everyone again. I was a great time last year. I'd like to throw out possibly meeting meeting mid to late May this year so we can get things going again. This might be a good chance to speak to whomever may be going to the 2012 NADA Discus Show (looking Chad's way) and seeing what we can do to bring the show out this way. Anyway, just thought Isee if I can get the ball rolling. Looking for others (Melissa) to join in!

AHA! Found this thread, sorry I didn't comment sooner. Definitely in guys.

I'll see about sending out some messages to people who previously attended to get more input on when we should arrange this and where :)

Haha! We should meet at a LFS- one that stocks stunted sickly discus- and we can all crowd the tanks and ridicule their fish ;) we can have games and prizes too.... We could play "Guess the disease".....

LOL! That would be funny. I can't believe how full discus look in some stores. I have been fortunate enough to find one in. LFS (in my avatar) that I loved. But it's the only one I've found like that.

What goes on at the meetings? Auctions for fish at all? These are in San Diego righ?

The last one we had was essentially a meeting of discus enthusiasts that got together and talked fish. Chad Huges held it at his place and many of us purchased fish he had in stock at the time. Chad was kind enough to feed us some BBQ. We haven't agreed on a location for the next one.
