Is it possible to feed tetra bits powder to discus fry instead of BBS

I usually feed tetra colorbits powder with BBS after the 4th or 5th day of introducing BBS. On it's own? Sure, but nothing beats BBS in my opinion.

I agree nothing beats BBS but I am trying to find easier alternatives as I am not a breeder and would be OK with slow growth rate. Also most of the day I am out of house so time wise I may find hatching BBS difficult. BTW I am from India and here we don't get Hikari First bites etc

Thanks Chad

I bounce around between bbs, krill fines, golden pearls in 5 mics,(both from Kensfish) and any of my dry food powder..the non bbs stuff keeps my wife happy when I have to go somewhere.

What about Freeze Dried Cylop-eeze? I read a few threads in the past regarding using this as an alternative for those with an auto-feeder for when the fry need to be fed when someone is at work?

I plan on using this product this weekend along with the BBS.

I also feed cyclops, but a little later in their growth, and I switch to 200-300 mic pearls..the cyclops float to the surface a little too easy..the pearls 'swim' around..
