Hi Tony,

Looking good so far! Like you, I have rock holding down my driftwood. Keep up the good work! How big is your tank? Love the Cards and Ram!!!

:bandana: Thanx so much! Yep, rock holding it in place for the time being. The tank is a 125g TENECOR. There are some ghost shrimp in there somewhere (ghosts... go figure) lol as well as 1 spotted & 1 striped raphael tucked in the driftwood. Slowly taking shape. Still reading & re-searching. Criticism, critiques, opinions & helpful hints are all welcome. "T"

Hi "T", what size are you getting from Hans?

You may want to get the anubius out of the gravel. They will not do well with the root buried. Maybe tie it to the driftwood.

Hi "T", what size are you getting from Hans?

We discussed sub-adults (4/4.5") as my best bet with the plants & all. It's gonna cost a bit more than I initially figured but most of you guys & Hans have convinced me. Hans is very informative & after viewing my set-up gave me a few tweaks.

Thanx for the tip. Not sure what I wanna do yet. Gonna do some 'thinning' & maybe replace some others. My first planted work in progress. Any & all criticisms, critiques, helpful hints & flowers welcome. "T"

Four inch is a great starting size. Tony, I like your tank and the small rock substrate. My concern and perhaps something to think about how you are going to keep it clean.

:bandana: Yea I know Pat. It's gonna be work. The 'cats' will help a bit on nite patrol (they are real good) & the other fish & shrimp will be on day patrol & me .... I'll try to get what's left!! lol lol "T"

Tony, just in case you are find keeping the substrate is impossible to keep clean you may want a "backup" plan just in case. Potted plants come to mind. :) Your biggest problem is the food getting deep into the substrate where even the shrimp and cories can not get to it. Discus love shrimp. :)

Discus love shrimp

:bandana: Pat, you're killin me. lol lol lol I luv it though. Yea I know live shrimp are tasty natural treats. Not really worried. Just as in nature some will be had for the greater good. The three Raphael cats (2 spotted, 1 striped) will do the lions share of substrate skimming, the german blue rams & tetras will assist & then there's me. Will keep the potted plant back up plan in mind. Thanx so much for your support.

good luck tony it looks a cracking tank

Thanx Chris b, I'm trying. "T"
