My female albino rsg showed all signs of pairing with my cobalt snakeskin so I moved them into the breeding tank. They continued to shimmy and both clean the breeding pot. Lo and behold, the cobalt snakeskin started laying eggs. Oh well!
Guess I need to try a different pair. This has been an interesting learning experience.
I now have four females laying eggs and one male who appears not to fertilize the eggs yet. I have one other purported albino male so I guess I will pair the two albinos to see if they mate.
I guess you can't tell male versus female just by witnessing breeding behavior. Good lesson.
