Broken bar?

My fastest growing discus occasionally shows her bars and one of them does not extend from top to bottom, it has a "gap". She's not showing bars right now but if I remember right it was 3rd or so from the tail.

She is at the top of the pecking order and is very pretty, appears healthy and acts healthy... shows her bars when she gets miffed at another fish or my siphon, then returns to normal shortly after the disturbance.

I don't mind the gap, I think it adds rather than takes, just my bad taste I guess.

I guess my question is, is this normal... genetic...sign of stunting before I got her.... whats the deal on bars with gaps?

It is not a sign of anything other then it has a broken bar.

Broken Bars don't close up. Its genetic. Even in wilds they can be found.
