Hello,

I have a coralife T5 High output dual lamp fixture, 24 inches.
I would like to change the actinic light and put a brighter light (I don’t like the blue color), like the colormax or the 10,000k.
do you know what would be the best fit on this fixture for a planted aquarium with Discus inside?
Thanks for your help!

5000k or6500k ultra sun.I believe10000k also emits a blue spectrum (supports deep water inhabitants)

I use 1 colormax bulb and 1 10,000k bulb or 1 colormax and 1 6,500K.

6500 k is the best for plants i think. i got rid of my actinics as well. 10000 not that great for plants either i have read. good luck.

I have used 6700k and 6500k with a 10000k. It works well for plant growth. I like the look of the 6700k better than the 6500k.

Coralife's "colormax" and Hagen Glo's "life-glo" are the bulbs that make the colors "pop" in fish and red plants. Then you just need another full spectrum bulb for the plants like a 6,500K or 6,700K or 10,000K

I use 1 colormax bulb and 1 10,000k bulb or 1 colormax and 1 6,500K.

Using colormax and 10000k bulbs..definitely a slight tinge of blue compared to my previous colormax and 6500k. Like it alot but I might switch to a 3w LED setup
