Well actually they've been here since Tuesday but I've been busy w/ work & they've been busy adjusting to new surroundings. Still a bit shy but I think they're beautiful none the less. Hans is the best!!! Forgive the scratches & hopefully better shots in the future but without futher ado...... "T"

 Gee?? Guess it's not as special as I thought. No yays or nays?? Well I'm excited anyway but then I'm new at this. Carry on. "T"

Yay!!!! Nice fish Tony with a "y", and I love the tank itself. =)

Keep an eye on your rams...they develop a huge taste for beefheart and will bloat right up if you're not careful. Such little piggies. LOL

Beautiful Hans Discus btw. Enjoy them while they look so tiny in the tank, before you know it they'll be huge and you'll wonder where all the extra space went. Are there 6 of them?

Nice Tony! I love planted tanks, although we seem to be the minority on here!

Thanx Toni with an "i"!! lol lol Yea I'm kinda noticing they like it but they usually get the scraps that are left along with all the other little mouths to feed. At lights out feeding (last) they (GBR'S) don't get hardly any cause the Raphael cats (3) go to work. lol There are actually (8) but (2) seem to go left when the other (6) go right. To early to tell about pairing I think. Thanx for the advice & will keep watching.

Thanx OCD! Not real sure but figured I'd give it a shot. Have encountered some critism & skeptics but have also found praise & support. I guess like any thing else in life "YAYS & NAYS" lol lol Appreciate you chkn in. "T"

They look to be somewhere around the 3"-4" range, right?

That's a more suitable size for a planted tank, so you won't get any nay saying and arguments from me, but, from my own experience I'll tell you that it's a helluva lot more work than a none planted tank.

I had 6 of those buggers in a 54g pentagonal, lightly planted tank. Whooeeee, cleaning that sucker was a project every morning and every night. LOL

Just enjoy the little guys and have fun teaching them to eat from your hands, to follow you, around the edges of the tank, making big puppy eyes whenever you enter the room and all that other fun stuff. I love your choices of colors and markings.

:bandana: Thanx so much Toni!! I haven't gotten quite that far yet. They're still a bit cautious for now. I'll keep trying slowly. Not really sure the right approach or best time but i don't wanna spook them. They kinda gather together & watch from one side while I'm cleaning & then resume swimming when I'm done.Maybe they're still warming up to the new surroundings. (Hans had no plants or other fish). I'm in no rush, they're eating & swimming & observing. I'm good. Water is 85*, Ph 7.2, Nitrates 5ppm, W/C 75% every other day. Today is actually Day 7 in the new tank. Heck, I know I'm making progress cause I didn't even see them Days 1&2 lol lol. Now they come out & watch me watch them.

Anybody else with praise or critism, helpful hints or slap on the hands, I need ya. This is my first time. Gimme what ya got. lol "T"

Your tank looks good and your fish look great! I just converted my tank to bare bottom, and it makes water changes a breeze - but I love the look of gravel in a tank. Good luck with your discus!!

:bandana: Thanx guys! I appreciate all the chk ins. Trying my best to stay on top of things. Must say all the warnings about 'How much work' planted tanks are were not exaggerated!! Still, I like the look of the decor so I keep my sleeves rolled up!! lol lol "T"
