I have a question. I've had my new fish for a week now and have been doing daily sometimes 2xday WC. But I never see any fish poop. I'm feeding them 4xday. BH, FDBW, Hakari flakes and pellets. But I never see any poop. Am I not feeding enough? Do they eat their poop?

They do sometimes eat their poop, and its the method of transfer for some parasites. If you have very strong filters/water current, it may be breaking the poop down.

I'm using a Penguin 350 and a sponge filter.

How big of a tank? That 350 should be for a 70 and they're strong had one on my 55 a while ago, so that's probably what's taking it out, also that doesn't mean it's gone, it's either dissolve or in the water, so keep the water changes as you have.

One of the reasons of like me when growing them out to monitor better we use just the sponge, so we can see the poop, it will tell you if there is an issue with worms or parasites.

These really aren't Juvies. They (6) are from 4-5in. That's why I thought there would be way more poop to vac up every day.

I always had poop on the tank floor and I used a 350 with a sponge. Depending on their diet, their feces can be more solid or less solid. When I feed the 1.5mm pellet from Angel Plus, their poop is like a ROCK! LOL

1x day the Hikari Discus Bio-Gold, 1x day Frozen BH cubes 2

When I looked up Angel Plus, I didn't see a 1.5mm pellet offered. Would you recommend their 2.5mm cichlid pellet?

well I think I found out where the poop is going. When I do my WC I always take off my prefilter sponge, but today I also rinsed out my Sponge filter. OMG the water was gross. I guess I need to do that more than every 4 days.
