Cold water changes ever effect benefitial bacteria?

Always wondered that but never have put it to the test. Colder water changes sparks spawning interest in discus sometimes but does it ever kill off the bacteria? I wouldn't think so?

If u keep the water over 55 degrees. In out door pond keeping the bacteria will start to die at a temp of 55 and under. I would think it would hold true aquatic bacteria.

Nope, won't affect the bio bed.
