Amazing,

Bought home a Hans B.D. proven pair and put the in a divided 40 Gal tank.

I tried to feed them but they showed no interest in food, so I removed the uneaten food and left them alone. This was about 6pm.

I woke up today and checked on them before leaving for work. A nice batch of amber colored eggs on the cone!

I am pleased to post this as my first post. I have been back in the discus hobby for about 3 months looking forward to breeding and raising discus again!

I will try to post pics later today after work. I will have to overcome the 10 posts issue, so help me out with some thread replys.

Thank you,

Roy

Can't go wrong with pairs from Hans.....just add water. ;)

Had a feeling this would happen, all eggs were eaten. I will let them lay a couple of more times to see if they can do it on their own. If not I will screen the eggs & see if they will become parents.
On the bright side, their were a lot of eggs. More than 100. I did try to count, but had to go to work. Lost count a couple of times prior to giving up.

Second batch of eggs, day 2. Keeping my fingers crossed. Expectations are low for the new egg layers. I am willing to let them try a few times before intervention. I will post if I get beyond the egg stage. I watched for an hour or so, but the male did not seem to be making passes on the eggs?

Thank you,

Third batch of eggs about 250 or so. 60 or so made it to wiggler stage. most have slid to the bottom of the cone.
I am starting to get optimistic about this pair. They seem to be quick learners!
Thanks for the comments guy's. I will post again when I get some free swimmers attached. Hopefully next batch of eggs!
