What type is this

Hi,
I was just wondering what type of discus this guy is.

please don't critique him I know he is a bit rough but it seems to be an improvement from when I first got him about six weeks ago.

They are not the same fish. Look how big the eye is in the second pic.

Haha I was gonna say it has different markings on both sides... spots on one and straight striation on the other.... thats awful unussual. Well I agree with everyone thus far, they are different fish but they are both turq's regardless. The first one is a pretty good looking fish, I reserve judgement on the second...

They are the same fish the second pic is from 6 weeks ago when I got him.

Are you sure? First picture is much better obviously, but that quite a change in pattern.

Actually you all are because all I have done is read and apply what is on this site, I do massive water changes, feed constantly (lots of Al's fdbw), do massive water changes, and keep them warm. For the record I am a middle age mother of five (my youngest is disabled) and own a commercial dry cleaner/laundry - I have no time, reason or desire to troll people or to play games on messages boards, I will admit I did use the best picture of him/her I had on my phone to ask what kind it is :p.

You did a great job turning that into a nice fish! I would not have thought that fish could have turned out like that. It's great to see the proven methods still hold true, but more importantly that someone as busy as yourself was able to balance it out somehow with a very full life. :)
