Here are the remaining 3 wilds I got for free. Not looking all that great at the moment but they are showing very good signs when it comes to eating. I had to throw them in my 180 with my small rays but have plans to move them hopefully in next few days to a 30 and nurse them back to health. I know these fish were not treated for anything so I will be doing some treatments on them to make sure they are dewormed and whatever else they maybe carrying. I will update this every so often so everyone can keep up with your progress. WISH ME LUCK!!!!

Sean, I would consider doing a full round of debugging and deworming on these guys. Poor things.

I was planning on prazipro then levamisol and see how they do after that. Do you have anything else in mind I could do?

Sean, I like to start with metro just to ensure they are eating good. How do the feces look?

Haven't seen any yet but I have plenty of metro on hand

Sean, if the feces looks decent I would delay the worming a little bit and try to get some flesh on these fish. Deworming can set them off and if they are that bad off the deworming could kill them

They run to the front of the tank for food but then just eat a little not a lot

If you decide to do the metro first and it does not increase their appetite then may not be able to delay the deworming.

Hopefully if they get fully healthy again I will buy 3-4 more wilds to put with them for a bigger group.

Hit them with prazi 3 times, each wc.On a previous thread,he had a trio of red head eartheaters that spawaned, and left in tank.I think they had problems getting food. We'll see.Dont want to put too much effort into because they might still go back, but cant help myself.Nite.

Hard to turn down free. Its not like they huddle in the corner. They swim to the front when I come downstairs and arent skittish during wc's so I dont think they're a lost cause yet.

Not sure if I helped much but just passing along info that was giving to me when I had problems. How are you dosing the metro? I have always used 500mg/20 gallons but I hear a lot of people say they use 500mg/10 gallons.

I dose 500mg/20G. Once a day for total of 10days. I also increase temp to 88-90F but not in this case since I was concerned about bacterial infection so kept it around 84F.

Never a dull moment in this hobby

That is the same thing I do but I always keep my temp at 84 no matter what.

Yeah. Topic of many debates. I just found with higer temp, they show improvement much faster and infection tends to stay away for good but this is just my unscienctific observation.

I personally am dead set against this! to much risk to healthy fish in the same room not in the same tank. I wish you guys all the best but IMO free isnt worth the healthy ones you already have. Like I said Just My Opinion. Good luck fellas!

My healthy fish are in the house and the newly adopted fish are out in the garage and when the new fish hopefully get well they will still be in another tank I will not add these to any fish I have now.

I thought you said these were in with your rays? Might as well leave em in the 180 because any bugs they have, your rays now have.

After I get them better and back in shape they will be going back in the 180 with the rays. Less meds and easier to treat in a 30 plus rays are sensitive to some meds used on discus. Rays are far tougher then discus so I am not worried about these fish making the rays sick. Plus these fish have been in my brothers tank for a year so they didn't just come straight out of the wild
