Plants Question

I'm getting ready to purchase some plants for my display tank with drift wood and wanted to know if I need to treat the plants or can I just put them in the tank with Discus. If I need to treat the plant what should I treat with? Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

i used 2 table spoons alum / gallon and let plants soak for a couple of hours.. that will/should kill snails.. then i dip in a bleach solution..

thats about all.. i am more worried about stupid snails..

I always did the PP dip or used Peroxide diluted in water as dip as well with success.
