Is velvet red a brown based discus? Is it ok to pair it witha virgin red?

The male virgin red is not fertilizing the eggs and I'm assuming it's infertile. It's not the water because My other pair's hatch rate is over 100+ plus eggs. What are the other brown based discus strain? Thanks.

Brown based discus are RT. BT. Leopard, BD, Cobalt, San Merch, etc...

Red Velvet is pigeon blood gene.
