From sand to BB

Hi all, i have had my 6 juvenile discus now for a month. The tank has a sand bottom with couple of plants.
I work full time and was wondering if it would be easier to keep the discus in a bb tank?
If i did decide to go bb would i have to gradually reduce the amount of sand so as not disstress the fish?
Obviously the plants would have to go too. Im just trying to find a way to suit my working life which i know is not ideal:(, once a pair have coupled i will be keeping them in the tank and re homing the rest.:confused::confused::confused::confused:

when u do your daily water change take out a bit each day

Quick, clean and easy way to remove the sand is to directly syphon it with the hose. Job done and less stress.

Done it thanks guys,minimum stress,bars were black for;)cabout five minutes then fine
