Usually the diagram is on the motor plate itself (or right next to it). What is the exact model of the pump you have?

Just checked my 3/4 HP Lifeguard pump and the wiring diagram is indeed on the top sticker attached to the pump.

It appears the air switch is for when the pump is part of a process system where it is required to be interlocked with the process i.e. a flow switch or an air pressure switch.

If you're using it as a straight water pump where you control the power to the pump or the start /stop controls then don't use the air switch diagram.

Just be sure to wire it correctly for your available voltage (115V or 230V). If the actual electric motor manufacturer is listed, they will usually have more detailed instructions/diagrams on their website (if it's a major brand name motor).

My Lifegard Seahorse pump is only rated for 115V, but check your nameplate - if it has a dual voltage rating it would be marked 115/230V then you would follow the nameplate diagram for the appropriate voltage configuration.
