what the hardness can do to th fish because my discus in the community tank the hardness is 300 ppm i try everything to lower but i cant ,when i said everything i do my w/c i keep them at 0 level just the hardness killing me

You posted in Breeding Section, but sound you don't breed ... don't worry about hardness unless you breed them

yes.. the water needs to be soft.. in order to get the eggs to hatch.. then it can go back to tap/hard
