Hello, Whats the Minimum tank size to raise discus...I have a 24x12x24 tank would that be a good tank for discus?? I would appreciate any recomendations!! Thanks
which is length, width and depth of tank on your dimensions..

LxWxH in that order, i think thats kinda small
you could grow out some small ones.. but you will need to upgrade pretty darn quick

Indeed. I agree the tank the op has now will be good for gow out. Just wanted them to look ahead to what they want so they dont have an oh f*#_ moment

You should have 5 discus together. They prefer it.

i always wonder this, being on european forums, all people agree on starting with 5-6 discus in a 90 gallon minimum, here in the USA, it's 5-6 in a 55 gallon...

When not stated otherwise, I always assume US gallons. Other gallons are larger, so the error is on the safe side for tank size. According to wikipedia, it's 3.79 L vs 4.546 L per gallon. So that makes it about 46 imperial gallons, not 90. Maybe someday we will all use litres?
