I am really pleased with my Tangerine pair because it took them a while but they had laid eggs a couple days ago so I hope they can get free swimmers soon even though the water TDS was alittle bit high at about 81 ppm but we will see soon.74005

I like these type of pigeons, with the large pearl pattern. All the best with them!

I had free swimmers last night ; increadably I did not see any white eggs during the process but we will see how many will actually attach to their parents because now most of them are sticking to the black sponge filter and I am trying to help parents with the attachment (I will post pictures soon) ; any recommendations other than lowering the water level? in a past batch from another pair I have I decided to remove the sponge from the filter and just left an air stone and I end up loosing all fry but I am not sure if it was related to removing the sponge or some other reason but I think parents eat them.

Patience is your best ally. I would just let them be. Trying to do too much almost always results in negative results.

What do you do to help with attachment specially on light color fish like these? the fry seem to attach to the sponge filter because is dark and most of them go there.

Assuming the cone is at one end of the tank and the sponge at the other, re-position the light so it is directed at the sponge and where the parents are is darker. You can remove the sponge, but don't allow any ammonia or nitrites to build up as it will kill them pretty quick. In the future you could try a HOB filter with a nylon stocking over the intake strainers and the flow turned down to minimum during attachment.
