How you look at the color test for the ammonia, nitrite ant nitrate?do you hold at the light, white background, or hold at the daylight? I ask that because I'm doing a fish less cycle and every time I look at a different angle it lighter color or darker?

Idk if you are using strips or vials, but the vials should be placed up against the white part of the test result paper, and examined in a well lit room but not with the light directly behind it (makes it look far too light). It should be fairly easy to tell where your at, the strips are similar in nature, use in well lit room, remember the vials are a far better test in general. HTH

Thank you, I'm use a API test kit. So you saying that look straight to the tube instead of looking sideway with the test result paper?

Just put the tube up against the white part in a well lit room, very simple, whatever color is closest is your test result.
